About Cedar Grove Community Foundation

Cedar Grove Community Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit serving families across the Cedar Grove area. From our food pantry to after-school programs, we put every dollar raised to work close to home. Our Fall Basket Prize Raffle is one of the year’s biggest fundraisers, and it is powered entirely by supporters like you.

The essentials

How to play: Buy one or more tickets for the Cedar Grove Queen of Hearts raffle. For each ticket you select one available face-down card on the board. That card is your entry for the weekly draw.

The draw: Each week on the drawing date, one paid ticket is drawn at random and its card is turned face up. If the card is the Queen of Hearts, that ticket holder wins the jackpot. If it is any other card, the game continues and that card is removed from the board for future draws.

The jackpot: The jackpot is a progressive pot that carries over and grows from week to week until the Queen of Hearts is found. The winner receives 50 percent of the pot as posted at the time of the winning draw, and the organization keeps the remainder to support its programs.

Joker reset: If a Joker is drawn, the board resets and all cards return face down for the next draw. The jackpot is not affected and continues to carry over.

Final draw: If the Queen of Hearts has not been found by the final scheduled drawing date, draws continue from the remaining eligible tickets until the Queen of Hearts is revealed, and the jackpot is awarded to that ticket holder.

Eligibility: You must be of legal age to take part under the laws that apply to you. Only paid tickets in good standing are eligible to win. People involved in running the raffle may be restricted from taking part.
